REVIEWS.. WHAT ARE THEY LIKE?

A Saint was going with His disciples in the forest area explaining the basic aspects spiritual life. Towards noon, they came across a good tribal chief who invited them to his Hamlet and offered mouth watering food and wine..

The Master saying,

"Anando Brahma.. Thanks for the Amrit served!"

Took the food and wine with the disciples too doing that to their full satisfaction and ease, blessed the chief and continued His journey..

Towards evening by bad luck, they were corned by a cruel tribal chief who took them to a remote area, beat them black and blue and offered a single bitter drink as the night food..

The Master again saying,

"Anando Brahma.. Thanks for the Amrit served!"

Took the bitter drink and blessed the chief but the disciples reeling in great pain could not take a sip of bitter drink offered!

That's

The Highest Review

The Great Man had given at

His Level of almost 'NIL' selfishness

To the 2 Offerings made with 'Zero' distinction..

Being an ordinary mortal of my own limitations with the associated self interest, my reviews everywhere

Sure will be based on my own reactions to the particular materialistic thing offered to/experienced by me, nothing less of it at any time..

No doubt, that reviewing sure helps many of my own level people around me to evaluate a particular materialistic thing in front and go for it or not depending on their own self experiences and respective needs..

Seen thus, as a genuine personality of controlled self interest with a code of ethics with me, I would fairly be giving a right review of any product/materialistic item offered to me..

When the self interest in me scales up with offerings made to me in the form of certain cash and kind but still as a law bound citizen, I would be giving out fair reviews of all such products/items to a limited extend of course sure tainted with the required advertising needs of them indirectly embedded in..

When that self interest goes beyond a limit with lots of money flowing in and power equally ruling behind and many bought out followers voicing my own say,

No need to say that, that doing will have a great impact on the consumer/user's mind thrusting the utilization of the product/item beyond the necessary and pushing the same into greater circulation and larger market..

Any review of a product/materialistic gain in any field can never escape the impact of such happening and accordingly only the life around moves on as Sri Adi Shankara says in His Bhajagovindam (Sloka 14) in respect of

Spiritual existence in the world

'jatilo mundii lujnchhitakeshah
kaashhaambarabahukritaveshhah
pashyannapi cana pashyati muudhah
udaranimittam bahukritaveshhah'

Many move with matted locks,
Many move with clean shaven heads,
Many have hairs plucked out,
Some clothed in saffron,
Others various colors,
All for a livelihood..
None sees the truth so evident in front of them!

With rest of the happenings around on similar lines!

The Post is written in line with this week's IndiSpire Prompt How reliable are reviews? You may consider films, books, gadgets, lifestyle, fashion or any other genre... #reviews

  1. The funny thing is that we humans are forever reviewing, commenting, and even passing judgements on every facet of nature that God has created. Don't you think there is a reviewer within each of us... and even our fault-ridden reviews are accepted without a protest by Him?

    1. Rightly said, Arvind.. Every one of us is capable of reviewing a particular thing at our own level and there is value for that in Nature as a similar level person wants that and that would sure help him/her.. So no commenting truly speaking goes waste and that effect has a purpose in Nature unless they are willfully misleading.. Thanks for the good comment on the Post!
